July Video Tip Clip: Answers to Your Questions

Many of you have been asking a lot of the same questions regarding Common Ground and Lifestyle Fitness. We’re very pleased to report that as of today, we have the opportunity to assist you at both of these facilities. The video above shows what each facility looks like, and discusses how each is prepared to help you as you consider returning to the gym!

Open For Business

It’s July 1st…and mercifully we’re now halfway through the dumpster fire that has been 2020 so far! From COVID-19 to murder hornets, and from protests to the upcoming election, 2020 continues to be a very bumpy ride of a year. That being said, we do have what seems to be a bit of good news!

About two and a half weeks ago we penned a deal with management at Lifestyle Fitness. Heading west on W. Maple Rd., Lifestyle Fitness is on the south side of Maple, just before you’d hit Hwy 275. It’s a very nice, clean, new facility, that may prove convenient for several of you who live in the far north-west corner of the metro. And as of today, Common Ground has re-opened its doors in Elkhorn!

As you’ll note in the video above, both facilities are taking cleanliness and social distancing very seriously. In addition to both of these fabulous facilities, we’re also still offering in-home and online training. So even if public gyms end up having to close again due to a resurgence of the virus, we’ll still have you covered!

In any case, we’re open for business, with even more training options than ever before! So if you’re an existing client who’s been “paused” for the pandemic, please feel free to contact us and get started again, whether it’s in-person or online. And if you’re not a current client, please don’t let fear of the virus keep you from contacting us. As mentioned, we’ve got several different options you can pick from to engage with us in whatever way you feel most comfortable doing!

Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay fit. (We can help with each of these!)

Yours in health,

Robert Kennedy

Cucumber-Tomato-Salad-2-1024x643.jpg

Cucumber Tomato Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 large cucumber, peeled, halved and thinly sliced

  • 4 tomatoes, halved and thinly sliced

  • 1 small red onion, peeled and thinly sliced

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

  • Pinch of raw sugar

Directions

Place cucumber, tomatoes, onions and garlic into a bowl. Toss with olive oil, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, pepper, salt and sugar.

Let stand for a bit at room temperature or in the fridge, about 15–30 minutes before stirring and serving. As the salad sits, liquid will accumulate. You can serve the salad with a slotted spoon to avoid the extra liquid. Another option is to use the extra liquid as a dressing when serving the salad over greens or to soak up the liquid with slices of crusty bread.
